WIBA: 2006

Are you ready for a WIBA??
That would be the first official Wisconsin Ironman Brick Adventure, baby. Not for the faint of heart (or ass.)
When and Where and What:
Friday, July 7th:
Dinner in Madison, WI, 7:00 p.m. (Central time). Please email me if you're planning to eat with us the night before the ride so I can send you the info.
Saturday July 8th:
8:00 a.m. (Central time), meet in the parking lot of the Verona Fireman's Park (click here for a map...thanks, Rob!). We're going to have a long day boys and girls (around 7-8 hours on the course) and it's supposed to get hot, so please don't be late. We're riding the Ironman Wisconsin bike loop twice, about 90 miles in all, and then heading out for a 5-mile (or so) run off - to be immediately followed by instant onset delirium as we go get cleaned up and ready to go out and celebrate our complete and utter coolness.
Sunday, July 9th:
8:00 a.m. (Central time), location TBA. For extra credit coolness, please stick around and join a group of us for a 2-hour or 11-mile run (whichever comes first) on the Ironman Wisconsin marathon course.
All right, I think that's it. Please confirm that you're coming for some or all of the fun below (or email me).
This is Ironman summer! Let the WIBAs begin...

I'm so jealous. Wish I could come!!!! (Am I ill?) Forge some iron and have some fun.
Oh that is so cool. I wish I could make that.
Wil, myself and a few friends will be there! Did you see the e-mails I sent you? They would be from jeffcarrion@hotmail.com and are reguarding the ride on Saturday, some very important Podcast stuff.
BTW-Are your sure you mean Eastern Standard Time? So like the ride will kick off at 7am Wisconsin time?
Gah! No, I meant Central time... thanks Jeff! I'll make the change. And I didn't get the podcast email, could you please resend?
what e-mail should I send it to? wil@throughth3wall.com?
Just left you a VM @ the 574-807-0033 number.
Jeff, yep, please send it to that address... I'll also check that GYGO voicemail, thanks!
Sounds like lots of fun. I am too far to come, but good luck to all of the riders.
It's On! I am totally there for it all including the extra credit ;) Are we wearing our goggles to the bar after the ride? :)
WIBA! Those are also the call letters for the classic rock radio station in Madison. How cool is that? I'm in for dinner, bike ride (sorry no brick as I'm off to Summerfest). Then, if I survive, I'll try and make the Sunday run.
Oh yeah, WI, bring it on! :) Road trippin' with da ladies...
Bring on the heat, wind, and rolling hills.. I'll be there to enjoy the suffering with you'all..
I totally forgot about a B-day party I have to go this weekend, have fun everyone. Enjoy the hills, that's close to where I grew up.
I'm jealous. But even if I was in the area, that's some serious training...might be able to do one bike loop with the 5 mile run off right now - I hope you guys realize how super trained you are relative to the rest of the universe... Have fun and be safe!!!
Not for the faint of ass....
I think I have found my new tagline.
hee :)
You know I'm there. Let me know about dinner on Friday. I might be able to make that, too. And if you can still put up with me by Sunday, I'm in for the run!
Have a great time! And everybody make sure your brake pads are on point before you ride, lest Garfoot make you humble...
i'll be there! ah, in spirit. i want to see TONS of photos and bring back some great audio.
Hope it's not too late to sign up! It looks like I may be able to sneak out early enough to make it to dinner Fri night too, but don't wait for me in case I get stuck in traffic.
You all are too cool!! I'll be checking ESPN for their live updates on WIBA ...
