WIBA Finalized Itinerary

Well, there have been a few developments!

Wow, so deep breath then.

All right well it looks like we're going to have three, count 'em THREE bike groups for Saturday's epic adventure. After the open water swim at the Monona Terrace Ironman transition area, the first group will head over to Fireman's Park and ride two loops of Verona (80 miles), then return to Fireman's park to run-off the bike. The second group will take off right there from Monona Terrace and complete one loop of Verona (75 miles), then return to Monona Terrace for their run-off, and the third and final group will also take off from Monona Terrace, but they're going to ride the whole course (112 miles), then return to Monona Terrace for their run-off. I'll give you one guess which group I'm in ...

1.5 hr. swim. 112-mile Ironman Wisconsin ride. 45-minute run-off.

Whew people, it's gonna be a long day.

OK, so what I need those of you coming to think about is which bike group you want to be in, and please remember that although there will be a sag vehicle, make sure you have extra tubes/flat kit, a cell phone and some cash. There is a convenience store on the course for refuels, and a stop will likely be scheduled into your ride by the pace leader. That said, below is the final itinerary for the weekend (please note that the Endurance House footstrike analysis clinic has moved to Sunday). There's also a PDF you can download with a link to all the maps you'll need for the weekend here, courtesy of resident guru of all things Madison, the illustrious Robby B.

I'm doing IMMoo and ran across your blog. Excellent blog. That sounds like a really good, strong BIG training day. Have fun. Wish I could be there, that would be such good training.
